Answer in brief
As of 3 November 2026, Disney's official page lists Avengers: Doomsday for release exclusively in theaters on December 18, 2026. It was moved once, from May 1, 2026, in a report dated 24 May 2025.
Disney's page dates the film for December 18, 2026
As of 3 November 2026, the avengers doomsday release date is December 18, 2026. Disney's official page for the film says it releases exclusively in theaters December 18, 2026, and the page shows no other date.
The same page names Anthony Russo and Joe Russo as directors and carries an official trailer that runs 2 minutes 25 seconds.
The move from May 1, 2026, reported in May 2025
Rolling Stone reported on 24 May 2025 that Marvel Studios had moved the film from May 1, 2026 to December 18, 2026. In the same report Avengers: Secret Wars moved from May 7, 2027 to December 17, 2027.
Rolling Stone gave one reason for the first move: the film was in production in London, and the new date gave the Russo brothers more time to finish it. Disney's page carries no later change of date.
Dune: Part Three opens on the same day in North America
The official Dune: Part Three site says the film opens only in theaters and IMAX across North America on December 18, 2026. Abroad it begins on December 16, 2026, and Dune Insiders can attend early screenings on December 14 and 15.
Euronews wrote on 18 March 2026 that fans had asked Marvel to reconsider the date, and that both films still opened on 18 December 2026 for now. Neither official page, as read on 3 November, shows a change.
The cast Disney's page lists
The page lists Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh, Vanessa Kirby, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart among about thirty names. Florence Pugh also appears on the cast list of Dune: Part Three.
What is fixed next: December 16 to 18 and Secret Wars in 2027
The next fixed dates are Dune: Part Three abroad on December 16, then both films in North America on December 18. Disney's page gives no separate date for other countries, so local cinema listings decide where you live.
Avengers: Secret Wars was dated December 17, 2027 in the May 2025 Rolling Stone report, a date that could have changed since and is worth rechecking.
